Antennas and Cables - A training unit for the Community Wireless Connectivity Training Initiative in Africa, sponsored by IDRC.

The unit covers Antennas and Cables, two passive components that are involved in the design of any wireless data communication network, including networks based on the IEEE 802.11 standards.

"By definition, an antenna is a passive device used to transform an RF signal, travelling on a conductor, into an electromagnetic wave in free space. Antennas do also operate in the opposite form by passively collecting electromagnetic waves in the free space and turning them into RF signals on a conductor."
